I began my art career in 1993 as an alternative to finishing an MBA in Government Contracting. I’ve never been sorry for the switch.

My hobby started with stained glass and pottery, but quickly moved from ceramics to figurative sculpture with sculptor and instructor George Davis. I added decorative solder-work to my stained glass, and fused glass work to my repertoire. My love for working three dimensionally went from hobby to a career in sculpture of various media – yet my favorite areas remain realistic figurative nudes, and low-temperature fused glass work. Many of my more recent pieces are a result of collaboration with other artists. I find the interplay and exchange of ideas inspiring, and I can create larger works by incorporating other artists’ media and expertise. |

In 2007 I created the glass studio at Visual Expressions Creative Art Studio in Cedar Hill, and taught there through 2011. For two years during that period, I also taught stained glass and figurative sculpture at Carpenter Park, Plano Parks and Recreation Center, prior to opening my own teaching studio in 2009. I now teach solely from my studio, holding many classes a week teaching fused glass, stained glass, and figurative sculpture, along with glass workshops and art parties.
A long-time member of Texas Sculpture Association, I served on the TSA board from 2006 to 2011, holding positions as Secretary, President, and Advisor to the Board, along with additional positions as Web Master and Newsletter Editor. Working with such a great group of artists has been a real pleasure. |

Since 2009, I have served on the Advisory Board of the Arts Incubator of Richardson (AIR), an organization working toward creating a combined facility in Richardson for the visual and performing arts.
My artwork has appeared in shows and galleries around the Dallas area, as well as the Mizel Museum in Denver, Colorado, as the winner of a national competition.
